Traditional pastries in Spain are many centuries old, many recipes are being forgotten and some other communities and towns try to maintain them, such as the Arnadí de Calabaza. Many desserts have evolved over the centuries and even crossed borders. Some even later creations originate from more ancient recipes that have been adapted to current times and the discovery of new techniques and ingredients. Even so, traditional pastries still have their followers and with this selection I hope to continue bringing you closer to these traditional delicacies of yesteryear Freeze dried candy for sale.
Pumpkin Arnadí (Zapallo or auyama)

The Fig Bread is a delight, which I particularly cannot resist. I could only buy it in December but thanks to the blog Tapitas y Desserts I will no longer have to wait for these dates to be able to eat it and neither will you its preparation. We crush figs that we will then mix with almonds, cinnamon and anise, we shape it into a cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Coconut Mantecados
How many times in Christmas gifts do we receive these sweet treats, if they catch you and you feel like it outside of this time, don’t worry, Eva Style’s blog brings us her delicious recipe. We will make a dough with flour, margarine, sugar, cinnamon, salt, grated coconut and coconut milk. We stretch the dough and cut it into round shapes, put it in the oven and let it cool before sprinkling it with powdered sugar.
Tarta de Santiago
This almond delight is very easy to make, exquisite to accompany with a delicious cup of coffee. The delicacy to the palate will be one of those favorite cakes on winter afternoons around a delicious cup of coffee accompanied by a good book and a warm blanket. To prepare it you will need eggs, almond flour, sugar and lemon zest. We mix and put in a mold that we will put in the oven. When it is cold, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
