Engineer Rubén Rojkés talks with us about Avanco and the expansion opportunities arising in the Argentinian construction sector for 2019. Civil Engineer Ruben Rojkes has been a real estate developer for over twenty five years, “building the dreams of the people”.
1. What was your motivation when making Avanco?
AVANCO is an acronym that comes from advancing by building. I am a civil engineer and construction may be a passion for me. I made a decision to maneuver forward in life, building, making, that’s what I’m passionate about. Once I ask myself, Ruben, what is what makes you fill the foremost fulfilled about your work, I’m not passionate about buying and selling solely, I would like to create, manufacture, develop a product, that’s what I love.
2. What was your initial successful project?
It was the primary building I designed which I launched virtually 28 years ago; it was a very little building, in the road San Luis 77. It consisted of only eleven units with one or 2 bedrooms, with a lobby and two upper floors, without elevator. I sold it quickly. It had been my first work, and thank God, all the works I’ve got done are successful and utterly sold.
3. How do you manage the balance between family life and your work?
I assume family must be considered as the most necessary COMPANY we tend to have, that means that we have a tendency to must make sure of it, dedicate time to them, correct if one makes a slip, enjoy it. My family is my support, my motivation, I fancy it very abundant, and I invariably strive to create time to share with them. I fancy spending time with my wife and children. While my children are grown, we have a tendency to still share a ton of fine times. I always make time those moments, with trips, meals, or playing sports with them.
4. What recommendation would you provide to future entrepreneurs?
I would tell them to be passionate and put a heap of dedication to what they do. That they obtain recommendation from individuals with additional experience. I consulted a heap of veterans when I was not clear or I had doubts concerning a project. Work with a team of people who are passionate about what they do. It is an activity that you simply will’t do without a smart team.
5. What are the foremost innovative projects that are developed in the region?
I believe that at the Housing and Countries level, our company is the one that is innovating the foremost in the Region, with the kind of amenities of our comes, and the expertise of the architects that we tend to have, we have a tendency to are working with a fashionable architecture and we are in continuous evolution.
We tend to recently completed a residential building known as The Point, in which we left standing a stunning old facade of a house that is over a hundred years old, and combined it with stunning modern buildings. It is one thing that’s seen a heap in Europe however it is the first time it is done in the area. It had been a success.
